Like portraits, charcoals and drawings tell a beautifully unique and personal story. 

They may be commissioned for a celebratory or special occasion or simply a moment in time to be remembered.  Whether they are of you or a loved one, they are a precious reflection of a time in one’s life to be enjoyed by all that see them.

While portraiture is my first love, if I was only allowed to do one thing for the rest of my career, it would be portraiture. I love the challenge of capturing a face and how it develops with each sitting whether that is in oils or charcoal or as a simpler drawing.
